Turkey garners attention in the highly competitive crypto space with its tremendous crypto-friendly environment and stupendous crypto adoption. Acknowledging the vast opportunities of the transcontinental country, Binance has chosen Istanbul as the venue for the upcoming Binance Blockchain Week, scheduled for November, 8-9.
Binance Blockchain Week is a yearly gathering of traders, founders, investors, regulators, global officials, and innovators discussing and contributing to the future of blockchain technology. As per Binance’s official announcement, this year’s event would exclusively focus on “how blockchain and crypto can financially empower a billion more users around the globe.”
Binance’s newly appointed Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Rachel Conlan, shed light on Turkey’s potential room for digital assets, hailing Istanbul as a crypto hub. Sharing her enthusiasm and excitement in organizing Binance’s monumental event in Istanbul, Conlan stated, “Turkey is one of the most exciting communities for crypto.”
Narrating the greater possibilities of Turkey, Binance CMO pointed out the impressive 12% adoption penetration in Turkey compared to the global average of 5%. According to the Binance executive, Turkey has a “vibrant ecosystem” that supports not only crypto but any industry. She cited:
That’s with not just the crypto exchanges and people holding crypto, that also is the vibrant ecosystem here of startups, investments. It’s very exciting. For us, Turkey represents a market where we can learn a lot. We can learn and take insights from the user base here and how we can apply that to what are our global programs, what we need to be doing better.
Instanbul, the strategic geographical bridge between Europe and Asia that combines “the old world’s charm and the new world’s daring innovation” together, has been recognized by Binance as the best locus for the event. Appreciating the burgeoning crypto ecosystem in Istanbul, the CMO noted, “That’s really one of the reasons that we chose to host our upcoming Binance Blockchain Week here in November.”
